The island accommodates a university and the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge (3100 m). In the photo we can see the university with various residential and office buildings, and a park surrounding it. There are plans for the island to become a large scale tourist resort due to its natural environment and beaches. Recently a summit between the North Korean Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-Un, and Russia’s president Vladimir Putin was held on the island. Post udostępniony przez World Urban Planning ™ (@worldurbanplanning) Lip 12, 2019 o 10:57 PDT

Location | Frioul archipelago, Marseille, France Due to the strategic location in the bay of Marseille, the islands have been used for military defence throughout the centuries. The islands have a population of almost 150 year-round inhabitants, and the marina has more than 600 berths. The island features a handful of shops located beside the marina, and also has seasonal firefighting service. Other public services have to be done a boat ride away, in the City of Marseille. . Although 90% owned by the municipality, the future of the islands is uncertain with developers wanting to create a paradise for billionaires while environmentalists want to keep it open for the public. Because of its exceptional natural heritage it has been proposed by the french government as a Natura 2000 area (protection area). . #frioul #frioulisland #marseille #ilesdufrioul #urbanplanning #cityplanning #worldurbanplanning #aerial #aerialview #dronephotography #topdown #islands #france #프리울 #마르세유 #프랑스 #도시계획 #드론Post udostępniony przez World Urban Planning ™ (@worldurbanplanning) Lip 8, 2019 o 1:35 PDT

Largely the economy is driven by agricultural activity. It has a fertile soil and is one of the counties in China that is producing the most grain. Moreover, the county has been recognised as China’s Soybean county. Here an image showing the ‘polycentric’ villages where agricultural activity occurs. #china #nenjiang #heilongjiang #worldurbanplanning #urbanplanning #cityplanning #agriculture #village #polycentric #aerial #aerialview #dronestagram #도시계획 #중국 #rural #landscapearchitecture #architecturePost udostępniony przez World Urban Planning ™ (@worldurbanplanning) Maj 21, 2019 o 10:08 PDT
